Sept 15: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has cancelled the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025 at multiple centres, including Jammu, following reports of irregularities and technical issues. The Commission has assured candidates that fresh dates for the affected centres have already been announced to ensure fairness and transparency in the recruitment process.

The SSC stated that the cancellation was a precautionary step taken to uphold the integrity of the examination and to safeguard the interests of genuine candidates. Authorities clarified that only select centres faced disruptions, while exams conducted at other locations across the country remain valid.

For candidates from the affected centres, the Commission has released a revised schedule for the rescheduled exams. Admit cards for the new dates will be made available on the official SSC website, and aspirants are advised to keep checking regularly for updates.

The SSC also emphasized its commitment to maintaining the credibility of its examinations, noting that strict monitoring mechanisms are being implemented at all centres. Additional measures, including enhanced surveillance and improved technical infrastructure, will be in place to prevent any recurrence of such issues.

Students have expressed relief at the Commission’s swift decision, though some voiced concerns about the delay in their preparation timelines. Coaching experts, however, welcomed the move, stating that safeguarding exam integrity is more important than rushing through schedules.

The SSC CGL exam is one of the most sought-after competitive exams in India, attracting lakhs of candidates annually for recruitment to Group B and C posts in central government departments. With the revised plan, the Commission has reassured aspirants that the recruitment process will continue smoothly and fairly.
