NOV 04: The College of Nursing, Army Hospital (Research and Referral), Delhi Cantt, held the Commissioning Ceremony of its VIIIth batch of 29 Military Nursing Cadets on November 4, 2025. The event marked the culmination of four years of rigorous academic training and clinical education, transforming the cadets into professionally skilled and compassionate Nursing Officers.
During the ceremony, the newly commissioned Nursing Officers took a solemn oath administered by the Principal Matron, pledging to uphold the values of service, discipline, and dedication as caregivers in the Armed Forces Medical Services.
The ceremony was reviewed by Lt Gen Avinash Das, Commandant, Army Hospital (R&R), who congratulated the new Nursing Officers on their commissioning. In his address, Lt Gen Das urged them to uphold the highest standards and traditions of the Military Nursing Service (MNS), which has a proud legacy of over 100 years of selfless service to soldiers, veterans, and their families. He lauded the unwavering commitment and professionalism of the nursing fraternity, especially their service in peace stations and challenging operational areas.
He also appreciated the Principal and the faculty of the College of Nursing for their exemplary mentorship and tireless efforts in nurturing the next generation of military nursing professionals.
The event was attended by senior officers, Nursing Officers, and proud parents of the newly commissioned officers, who witnessed the symbolic moment of transition from cadets to commissioned officers — a reflection of dedication, compassion, and service to the nation through the noble profession of military nursing.
