11 May: BHADERWAH: In an effort to support remote communities facing irregular electricity supply, BJP MLA Daleep Singh Parihar distributed 300 solar light kits among households in the remote villages of Chinchora and Thanhala in Bhaderwah.
The initiative aims to provide basic lighting facilities to families living in areas where power supply remains unreliable and electricity-related challenges continue to affect daily life.
Residents of the villages welcomed the move, stating that the solar light kits would help improve living conditions, particularly during nighttime hours and frequent power outages.
According to local representatives, many remote areas in Bhaderwah continue to face difficulties related to electricity connectivity due to challenging terrain and weather conditions. The distribution of solar-powered lighting systems is expected to provide temporary relief while also promoting the use of renewable energy solutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Daleep Singh Parihar said the initiative was intended to assist families living in underserved areas and ensure better access to essential facilities. He emphasized the importance of reaching remote communities with practical and sustainable solutions.
Officials noted that solar lighting systems can help reduce dependence on conventional electricity while providing an environmentally friendly alternative for rural households.
Villagers expressed appreciation for the initiative, saying that access to solar lighting would benefit students, elderly residents, and families during periods of low or disrupted power supply.
The programme also highlighted growing efforts to promote renewable energy solutions in rural and hilly regions where conventional infrastructure expansion can be difficult and time-consuming.
Local residents urged authorities to continue focusing on infrastructure development and electricity improvements in remote villages to ensure long-term solutions to power-related issues.
The distribution drive reflected a broader effort toward improving living standards and supporting rural communities through sustainable and accessible energy initiatives.
