DC Reasi review progress of Water Supply Projects under JJM

REASI MAY 04: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today reviewed the progress of water supply projects taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to ensure the entire household in the district have access to safe and adequate drinking water facilities.

 

At the outset, the DC took a detailed review of the physical and financial progress of works on Pouni Kanah and Marhi Pouni Water Supply Schemes (WSSs) taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Reasi district.

 

While majority of the works have been completed under JJM, the DC reviewed the progress of balance undergoing works at few places.

 

The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Rakesh Kumar Gupta briefed that Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme Pouni Kanha Water Supply Scheme with retrofitting costing Rs 4.19 Crore would provide tap connection to around 300 households, while around 239 households are targeted to be connected through Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme at Marhi Pouni.

 

The DC was apprised that pace of work on the twin projects is in full swing and more than 500 households in these habitations are being provided safe and adequate drinking water.
