DC Anantnag Convenes meeting of District Development Council

ANANTNAG MAY 05: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, S.F. Hamid held an introductory meeting with the District Development Council at Dak Banglow Khanabal. The meeting was attended by all the DDC members and BDC Chairpersons.

During the meeting, the District Development Commissioner emphasized the important role that council members play in implementing developmental programs and welfare schemes for the betterment of the general public.

He stressed the need for planning and monitoring of developmental projects and welfare schemes to achieve assigned targets in a timely and efficient manner.

The council members raised several public-oriented demands, including the macadamization of roads, the upgrading of health facilities in rural and remote areas, the rationalization of staff in educational institutes, and issues related to roads, water supply, and health facilities.

The DC assured council members that all genuine demands would be examined and incorporated into projected plans. He also stressed the importance of sectoral officers remaining available to the call of PRI’s and taking them on board in planning, execution, and monitoring of developmental works under District UT and centrally sponsored schemes.

The chairman, vice-chairman, and other members appreciated the initiative taken by the DC for having an introductory meeting and expressed their willingness to work together for the development and welfare of the district.

Overall, the meeting was a productive and positive step towards achieving the goals of the District Development Council and improving the lives of the people of Anantnag.
