RAMBAN, MAY 22: The 5th round of ongoing Kisan Sampark Abhiyan (Farmers Orientation programme) under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and on the theme Aatmanirbhar Bharat was held today in 10 blocks of district Ramban.
The Orientation programme was organised at Panchayat level with the objective to sensitize the farmers about new interventions approved under the Holistic Agriculture Development programme and benefits under other Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
The participating farmers were sensitized about the schemes aimed at holistic development and promotion of Agriculture and allied sectors so that the farmers can get maximum profit and create employment opportunities from the Agriculture sector.
The use of audio-visual aids to explain the schemes engaged the farmers well. Informative booklets in 03 (three) languages regarding the scheme of HADP were distributed among the participants.
In addition to this, thread bare discussions and Question Answer sessions were held following each video screening session to respond to farmers’ queries.
The Farmers were also made aware about the Daksh Kisan and Kisan Sathi portal. A Baseline survey/Skill gap study of the farmers was also being carried out simultaneously during the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan. Around 432 farmers were registered during the first day of the 5th round of Kisan Sampark Abhiyan.
