July 16: The Ministry of Women and Child Development has reminded citizens that July 31, 2025, is the last date to submit nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2025. The prestigious award celebrates exceptional achievements of children aged 5 to 18 years across various fields, including sports, social service, science and technology, environment, arts and culture, as well as acts of extraordinary bravery.
The application process, which began on April 1, 2025, is completely online through the government’s official awards portal: https://awards.gov.in. Nominations can be submitted by individuals, schools, institutions, organisations, or through self-nomination by the child.
The PMRBP is one of India’s most prestigious recognitions for young achievers and aims to inspire other children by showcasing stories of innovation, courage, and dedication. Past awardees have excelled globally in fields like sports, scientific research, environmental activism, and social impact initiatives.
