J&K Showcases Tourism Potential in Gujarat, CM Assures Safety and Hospitality

AUG 01: In a significant push to boost tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Minister of the Union Territory inaugurated a grand tourism roadshow and held an interactive session with the travel and trade community in Gujarat. The event aimed to highlight J&K’s vast tourism potential and build strong ties with one of India’s leading travel markets.

The roadshow witnessed participation from leading travel agents, tour operators, hospitality groups, and tourism stakeholders from across Gujarat. Officials from the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department presented key initiatives, upcoming festivals, and unexplored destinations across the Union Territory.

During his address, the Chief Minister emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir is not just open for tourism, but is thriving as a safe and traveler-friendly destination. “We assure every traveler a secure, welcoming, and memorable experience in Jammu and Kashmir. The hospitality and warmth of our people remain unmatched,” he stated.

He also highlighted the government’s continuous efforts to enhance tourism infrastructure, ensure safety, and promote new circuits such as heritage tourism, adventure travel, and eco-tourism. “We are witnessing a steady surge in domestic and international tourist arrivals. This reflects growing confidence in J&K as a peaceful and attractive destination,” he added.

The CM encouraged Gujarat’s travel industry to actively promote J&K packages, assuring full support from the administration. He also invited them to explore collaboration opportunities in homestays, travel services, and investment in tourism infrastructure.

The event concluded with a networking session between J&K tourism officials and Gujarat-based travel operators, setting the stage for future collaborations and increased tourist footfall.

The interactive session marked a step forward in J&K’s tourism outreach efforts, reinforcing the message that Jammu and Kashmir is a land of breathtaking beauty, rich culture, and unmatched hospitality—ready to welcome visitors from every corner of the country.
