SEP 23:Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held a detailed meeting with several Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to discuss pressing public welfare and development concerns in their respective constituencies. The MLAs in attendance included Mehar Ali, Tanvir Sadiq, Showkat Hussain Ganai, Er Khurshid Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad Khan, and Ajaz Ahmad Jan.
During the interaction, the MLAs raised a range of issues specific to their constituencies, including infrastructure gaps, access to basic services, employment opportunities, and the need for accelerated implementation of ongoing projects. They also conveyed the expectations and needs of their local populations, seeking support for more targeted and responsive development planning.
CM Omar Abdullah assured the legislators that the government remains fully committed to addressing public grievances in a time-bound and equitable manner. He emphasized that public welfare and balanced regional development are top priorities of his administration.
Highlighting the importance of grassroots-level governance, the Chief Minister said that ongoing engagement with elected representatives is key to improving the efficiency and impact of government initiatives. He reaffirmed that close coordination between the administration and MLAs would help align development efforts with real-time community needs.
CM Abdullah further stated that feedback from legislators plays a vital role in refining government schemes, ensuring effective delivery, and building public trust in the system.
