OCT 12: The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge India 2025 concluded successfully at Yashobhoomi, India International Convention Centre, New Delhi, as part of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025. Organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), IIT Delhi, the competition encouraged students aged 10–18 to design AI and robotics solutions addressing global challenges, with a focus on food security and sustainable development.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Deb Kumar Chakrabarti, Member (Services), DoT, and Dr. Bilel Jamoussi, Deputy to the Director, ITU. Shri Chakrabarti emphasized India’s vision to become a global leader in AI and robotics, encouraging youth to innovate for social good.

The competition featured Junior and Senior categories, with Team Heyansh (Junior) and The Ambitious Avengers (Senior) emerging as champions, earning the opportunity to represent India at the Global Grand Finale in Geneva, Switzerland, July 2026. Special awards recognized the Most Innovative Robots, highlighting creativity and technical excellence.

A total of 271 participants from 55 teams across India showcased their solutions, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and technical skills. The event also featured a session on Digital Safety for Youth, promoting responsible online behavior alongside technological advancement.

Dignitaries including Dr. Parag Agarwal (DoT), Dr. Ashutosh Sharma (IHFC, IIT Delhi), and ITU officials praised the participants for their dedication, teamwork, and ingenuity. The ceremony underscored India’s commitment to nurturing young innovators, fostering global collaboration, and leveraging AI and robotics for sustainable development goals.

The challenge reflects the Government of India’s vision to empower youth through technology, reinforcing innovation, ethical responsibility, and international engagement in solving pressing global issues.
