UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 07: The ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ 2022 was observed by GCW, Udhampur from the 31st October to 6th November 2022 under the theme “Corruption-free India for a Developed Nation”, in earnest enthusiasm as a solemn responsibility towards Nation building and as a step ahead to sensitize students and staff and create awareness to eradicate corruption in public life.
The 2 J&K NCC Girls Bn, Jammu, organized various activities to observe and celebrate the programme. The weeklong celebration started on 31st October 2022, where the Integrity Pledge for Citizens was administered to staff and students of the Institution.
All the faculty members along with the NCC and NSS attended the events.
Volunteers attended and took the Integrity Pledge in support of the fight against corruption.
On the second day, an Online E-Pledge was organized for the staff, NCC and NSS volunteers to encourage them to contribute their bit in making a corruption free society.
This event was followed by a street play performed by the NCC Cadets on ‘Vigilance’. The throne of activities ended with an Intra College Debate Competition on ‘Say No to Corruption’
Students also used social media platforms to spread awareness and also tagged the social media handles of CVC.
Prof. (Dr) Monika Sharma, Principal of the college, urged all to work with dedication and honesty and highlighted the role of education in inculcating moral, ethical values so that the generations can imbibe values of honesty and integrity. She further added, “the students are the future of the nation and they should make themselves as well as others aware of all kinds of corrupt practices and ensure that no one should indulge in corruption”, she also advised the students to take part in academic and extracurricular activities to build their mental and physical acumen in order to excel in life while being moral and said that administration has zero tolerance against corrupt practices.
The programme was coordinated by Lt (Dr) Kamal Deep Kaur, Associate NCC Officer of 2 J&K NCC Girls Bn of the college.
