NOV 09: As part of its 93rd Anniversary celebrations, the Indian Air Force (IAF) presented a spectacular flying display over the majestic Brahmaputra River in Guwahati on Sunday, captivating thousands of spectators gathered along the riverbanks.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Governor of Assam Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya as the Chief Guest, with Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Air Command Air Marshal Surat Singh, senior IAF officers, and state government dignitaries also in attendance.

This year’s Air Force Day theme — “Infallible, Impervious and Precise” (अचूक, अभेद्य व सटीक) — was vividly showcased through a series of breathtaking aerial manoeuvres.

An impressive line-up of fighter, transport, and helicopter aircraft flew past the Lachit Ghat, reflecting the IAF’s operational versatility and technological strength. The aerial display featured Tejas, Apache, C-295, and Hawk aircraft, symbolizing India’s pathway to self-reliance and national resilience. Spectators were thrilled by the high-energy aerobatic performances of the Harvard, Sukhoi-30, and Rafale jets.

The grand finale featured synchronized formations by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team and the Sarang Helicopter Display Team, whose precision flying left the audience spellbound.

The magnificent display not only demonstrated the professionalism and skill of the men and women in blue but also deeply inspired the youth of the Northeast, motivating many to pursue a career in the Indian Air Force and contribute to the nation’s defence and service.
