NOV 10:The skies over Guwahati shimmered with pride and excitement as the Indian Air Force (IAF) celebrated its 93rd Anniversary with a grand air display over the Brahmaputra River, showcasing the strength, skill, and precision of India’s air warriors. The event drew thousands of spectators who gathered to witness an extraordinary celebration of aerial prowess and national pride.

The air show featured an impressive lineup of aircraft, including the indigenously built Tejas, Apache attack helicopters, and the newly inducted C-295 transport aircraft, demonstrating India’s growing self-reliance in defense technology. The highlight of the event was the breathtaking aerobatic performances by the Sukhoi-30 MKI and Rafale fighter jets, which captivated the crowd with their high-speed maneuvers and synchronized formations.

Adding further grandeur to the celebration, the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) and the Sarang Helicopter Display Team painted the skies with trails of vibrant colors, symbolizing precision, discipline, and teamwork — hallmarks of the Indian Air Force.

This year’s IAF Day theme, “Infallible, Impervious & Precise,” resonated through every display, reflecting the Force’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s airspace and advancing operational excellence.

The event was graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, and Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, who lauded the Air Force for its distinguished service and dedication to national security. The dignitaries extended heartfelt appreciation to IAF personnel for their courage, professionalism, and contribution to humanitarian and disaster relief operations.

As the mighty Brahmaputra mirrored the aerial spectacle, the celebration not only honored the glorious legacy of the Indian Air Force but also inspired a new generation to dream of serving the nation from the skies.

The 93rd IAF Anniversary event in Guwahati reaffirmed the nation’s trust in its “Guardians of the Sky” — a symbol of India’s technological strength, valor, and indomitable spirit.
