Jammu, Dec 10 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday emphasised that schools and educational institutions must strive to “create unique individuals for future challenges,” urging them to adopt modern tools that enhance creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. He made these remarks during the 40th Anniversary celebration of Lawrence Public School, held at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.

Addressing a large gathering of students, faculty, parents and dignitaries, the Lieutenant Governor noted that the world is undergoing rapid technological transformation. To keep pace with these changes, he said schools must embrace emerging innovations and redesign learning to meet the needs of the 21st century.

“Critical Thinking and Curiosity Are Students’ Greatest Strength”

Applauding the school’s four-decade legacy, LG Sinha praised Lawrence Public School for its commitment to holistic learning and its contribution to shaping leaders who have excelled across diverse fields. He encouraged teachers and parents to allow children to learn according to their interests and passions, enabling talent development without pressure.

He highlighted four essential pillars that education systems must focus on:

He said these priorities must guide schools in making students both college-ready and future-ready.

AI to Reshape Classrooms

The Lieutenant Governor stated that Artificial Intelligence will revolutionise classrooms by enabling data-driven insights into student abilities. AI, he said, will strengthen mentoring, personalise learning paths and equip students with adaptable skills for a rapidly changing world.

On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor felicitated women achievers for their significant contributions across various fields. He said their accomplishments serve as a source of inspiration for the youth and reflect the strength of women-led progress in Jammu & Kashmir.
