14 May: JAMMU: A three-day Cluster Review, Audit Committee Meeting, and workshop involving Akashvani and Doordarshan stations from Jammu, Srinagar, and Leh is currently underway in Jammu.

The programme has brought together officials and representatives from various broadcasting stations to discuss audit reviews, financial management, operational performance, and revenue-related targets.

According to officials, the sessions are focused on strengthening administrative efficiency, ensuring financial compliance, and improving coordination among regional broadcasting units.

The workshops also aim to review ongoing functioning and identify areas where operational systems and financial procedures can be enhanced. Discussions are being held on best practices related to audit mechanisms, budget management, and institutional accountability.

Officials participating in the event stated that such review meetings are important for maintaining transparency and improving organisational efficiency within public broadcasting institutions.

The programme includes interactive sessions, departmental reviews, and workshops covering financial regulations, administrative processes, and revenue generation strategies for Akashvani and Doordarshan stations.

Representatives from Jammu, Srinagar, and Leh stations are sharing operational experiences and discussing challenges related to broadcasting services in diverse geographical and administrative conditions.

Authorities noted that regular audit reviews and internal assessments help strengthen governance mechanisms and support effective management of public institutions.

The event also reflects ongoing efforts to modernise administrative systems and improve the functioning of public broadcasting networks serving audiences across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh regions.

Officials said the workshops will continue till May 14 and are expected to contribute toward better coordination and improved institutional performance.

Akashvani and Doordarshan continue to play an important role in public communication, information dissemination, cultural programming, and regional broadcasting services across the country.

The cluster review initiative is being viewed as part of broader administrative efforts aimed at enhancing accountability, efficiency, and service delivery within India’s public broadcasting network.
