Secretary Health reviews implementation of Ease of Doing Business initiatives, status of e-Unnat

JAMMU, DECEMBER 14: Secretary, Health and Medical Education, (H&ME), Bhupinder Kumar, today reviewed implementation of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) initiatives including status of e-Unnat in the Health and Medical Education Department.

 

Dr Shafqat Khan, Additional Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission J&K briefed the Secretary that e-Unnat is a unified online service portal for providing integrated, accessible and transparent public services. In Health and Medical Education Department, 17 services are being provided at District and State Level through online mode at present which includes age certificate, disability certificate and physical fitness certificate besides various licenses under the Drug and Food Control Organization.

 

After detailed review, Secretary emphasized that main objective of providing the public services through online mode is to reduce compliance burden through G2B (Government to Business) and G2C (Government of citizen) services by way of process reengineering for seamless and hassle free delivery of services.

 

He issued on spot instructions to give wide publicity to these online services available for the citizens through various mass media interventions. He impressed upon the HODs to identify timelines for speedy disposal of all the cases in a time bound manner under the Public Service Guarantee Act.

 

Secretary directed all the HODs to identify more services which can be incorporated under the PSG Act with timelines. He instructed the HODs to monitor the feedback and grievance mechanism in order to create an efficient interface with the citizens.

 

The meeting was attended by Mission Director NHM, CEO Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Commissioner Food & Drugs Administration, J&K, Director Health Services Jammu and Kashmir, Project Director AIDS Control Society, J&K, MD JKMSCL, Additional Secretary, H&ME among other officers.
