DODA, APRIL 13: An awareness program to attract new eligible voters was held today at Government Higher Secondary School Boys Doda, under the directions of District Election Officer Vishesh Mahajan.
The programme was chaired by Dy District Election Officer, Amrish Kotwal along with District Information Officer (Nodal Officer SVEEP) Mohammad Ashraf Wani, Principal of the host schools (GHSS Boys Doda) Ruby Naz and ENT Angrez Singh.
A debate, Discussion and a Painting competition was held to spread awareness among the youth about the importance of participation in the electoral process of the Country by seeking enrolment in the electoral roll and voting during the elections.
Addressing the gathering, the Dy DEO said that the main aim of the Special Summary Revision is that democracy should reach grassroots level and more and more people take part in the democratic process. He urged the youngsters to know the strength of their vote and make our country stronger by using their vote.
