JAMMU, MAY 02: Department of Food Science and Technology of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women on Tuesday organised a one day guest lecture on the working of Gas chromatography, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography.
Dr. Ajai Prakash Gupta, Principal Technical Officer, Quality Management and Instrumentation Department, CSIR- IIIM Jammu was the resource person for the event.
The event was held under the guidance of Professor Minu Mahajan, the College Principal. The Principal extended a warm welcome to the expert invited for the lecture and applauded the initiatives taken by the department of Food Science for organizing the event.
Dr. Ajai Prakash Gupta elaborated on various lab techniques used in detection and isolation of flavor compounds from food samples. As many as 34 students of PG Food Science of Sem I and Sem III attended the lecture. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Anuradha Gandotra, HOD Food Science. The event was organised and attended by the staff of PG Food Science.
