Jammu, Aug 9: Ashish Sood, Minister of Home, Education, Power, Urban Development, Training and Technical Education, Government of Delhi, and BJP Seh Prabhari for Jammu & Kashmir, was called upon by BJP leaders from Jammu & Kashmir which includes Ajay Pargal, State Executive Member BJP J&K; Advocate Ishant Gupta, State Executive Member BJP J&K; and Advocate Varun Gupta, State Executive Member BJYM J&K, in New Delhi.
The leaders congratulated Ashish Sood on assuming office as a Minister in the Delhi Government and appreciated his dedication towards public service. They said that he has been working tirelessly with a clear vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” and is committed to the welfare of the people.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on strengthening BJP’s organisational structure and activities in Jammu & Kashmir. The delegation shared ground-level feedback about party’s outreach and engagement in the region.
Ashish Sood gave a patient hearing to all the points raised and assured full support. He informed the delegation that he will soon plan a visit to Jammu & Kashmir to review the organisational framework and further strengthen party activities.
The delegation also raised concerns regarding students from Jammu & Kashmir studying in Delhi under the PM Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS). They highlighted issues such as accommodation problems, high living costs, lack of guidance support, and adjustment challenges faced by students in the capital.
Responding positively, Ashish Sood assured that all possible assistance will be provided to address these concerns and ensure better support for J&K students pursuing higher education in Delhi.
