AUG 22: The Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area (AURIC) has approved a fresh round of land allotments for industrial projects worth over ₹200 crore, expected to create nearly 1,000 jobs in Maharashtra’s first Greenfield Smart Industrial City. The approvals were granted at a recent Land Allotment Committee meeting chaired by officials from Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL) and the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC).
The newly approved projects span specialty food ingredients, paper products, electronics manufacturing, road construction equipment, and alloy casting, underscoring AURIC’s strategy to support a diverse industrial base.
Among the major projects, M/s. Science for Society Techno Services Pvt. Ltd. received a 37,388 sq.m. plot in Sector 12 with Mega Project status. The firm will establish a specialty food ingredient plant involving an investment of ₹104 crore and creating over 325 jobs. The facility will be built as a zero-discharge plant, minimizing environmental impact.
M/s. Su-Tantra Paper Products Pvt. Ltd., which currently operates at Shendra, has been allotted an adjacent 370.79 sq.m. plot in Sector 5 to expand its paper product operations. Similarly, M/s. Alankar Engineering Equipments Pvt. Ltd. secured a 7,378 sq.m. plot in Sector 5 for expansion of its road construction equipment unit with a ₹17.5 crore investment.
Electronics manufacturing also received a boost with M/s. Lonbest India Pvt. Ltd., granted Mega Project status, being allotted 37,388.70 sq.m. in Sector 12. The firm will set up a chipset and PCB manufacturing system with an investment of ₹110 crore, generating about 500 jobs.
Additionally, M/s. Varad Alloy Casting has been allotted a 6,057 sq.m. plot to establish a new aluminium and die-casting foundry under the priority expansion category.
The government continues to engage with industry leaders to build investor confidence, with recent visits by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia reinforcing policy support.
With cutting-edge infrastructure, AURIC—part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC)—aims to emerge as India’s model smart industrial city, providing multi-modal connectivity, digital administration, and sustainable industrial practices.
