Now in its second edition, the Chinar Book Festival aims to foster a deep cultural and literary exchange by bringing together authors, poets, scholars, publishers, and readers from across India. The 9-day festival will feature a wide range of events such as book exhibitions, literary discussions, cultural performances, and children’s activities.
One of the key highlights this year is a Rajatarangini workshop, which will explore the ancient chronicles of Kashmir. Additionally, a focused panel discussion on the region’s history and heritage will be organized, encouraging meaningful dialogue on Kashmir’s civilizational journey.
The festival promises to create an immersive space where literature, learning, and local culture converge. Organizers emphasized that this initiative not only promotes reading and knowledge sharing but also strengthens Jammu & Kashmir’s position as a hub for intellectual engagement.
With picturesque Srinagar as the backdrop, the Chinar Book Festival 2025 is expected to draw large crowds of literature lovers, students, and cultural enthusiasts throughout its run.
