OCT 13:Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated the 2nd Kashmir Literature Festival in Srinagar, an event that brought together prominent writers, poets, scholars, and cultural enthusiasts to celebrate the region’s literary richness and intellectual heritage. The festival serves as a platform to exchange ideas, promote creative expression, and explore the deep-rooted cultural identity of Jammu and Kashmir.

In his inaugural address, Lt. Governor Sinha emphasized the crucial role of writers and thinkers in shaping an authentic understanding of history and society. He urged literary figures to use their craft to challenge distorted historical narratives through factual research and honest storytelling. “Writers have the power to present the truth and correct misconceptions. Jammu and Kashmir’s story must be told with integrity, free from bias and distortion,” he said.
