The camp witnessed active participation from local residents, community representatives, and officials from key government departments.

Direct Engagement with Citizens

During the camp, the Minister listened to public concerns related to roads, water supply, electricity, health services, welfare schemes, and civic amenities. He assured the attendees that timely redressal of grievances remains a priority of the government and directed officers to take immediate action on issues raised during the meeting.

Sharma emphasized the need for proactive governance and said that grievance camps are crucial for bridging gaps between the administration and the people, especially in border areas like Khour.

Review of Ongoing Development Works

In addition to grievance redressal, the Minister reviewed progress on ongoing developmental initiatives across sectors such as PWD (R&B), PMGSY, Jal Shakti, Education, and Rural Development. He sought detailed updates from officials and instructed them to remove bottlenecks, accelerate work pace, and ensure quality outcomes.

Sharma highlighted that improved connectivity, better infrastructure, and strengthened public services are essential for boosting socio-economic development in border belts.

Stronger Coordination Among Departments

Stressing the importance of synchronized efforts, Sharma directed all departments to maintain better interdepartmental coordination to ensure seamless execution of projects. He said that delays due to administrative lapses or poor communication will not be tolerated, and officers must adopt a proactive and responsive approach.

He further urged officials to conduct more field visits, interact directly with the public, and identify issues well before they escalate.

Focus on Border Tourism and Local Livelihoods

The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting border tourism in Khour and nearby sectors, noting that improved infrastructure and enhanced public amenities can significantly contribute to local economic growth.

He said that empowering border communities through better connectivity, tourism development, and livelihood support remains an important focus area of the administration.

Commitment to Citizen-Centric Governance

Concluding the camp, Sharma assured residents that the government will continue to strengthen public outreach mechanisms and enhance transparency in service delivery. He instructed officials to submit follow-up reports on the actions taken and to prioritize issues affecting vulnerable and marginalized groups.

He reaffirmed that development and welfare in Khour will continue to receive focused attention, with sustained efforts toward improving living standards and ensuring inclusive growth.
