13 May: JAMMU: BJP J&K President and Member of Parliament Sat Sharma on Saturday visited Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar to review healthcare facilities and discuss issues related to the functioning of the institution.
He was accompanied by MLAs Vikram Randhawa and D.K. Manyal during the visit.
The leaders interacted with the hospital superintendent, medical staff, and officials to assess the healthcare services being provided to patients and understand the challenges being faced by the hospital administration.
During the meeting, several issues related to infrastructure, patient care, and hospital management were discussed. Sat Sharma assured the administration that all genuine concerns would be taken up and addressed through coordinated efforts and support from Rogi Kalyan Samitis.
He emphasized the importance of strengthening healthcare institutions and ensuring better medical services for the public. According to him, government hospitals play a crucial role in providing affordable healthcare facilities to people from all sections of society.
The visiting leaders also appreciated the work being carried out by doctors, healthcare workers, and hospital staff in serving patients and maintaining medical services.
While interacting with officials and locals, Sat Sharma also supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal regarding healthier lifestyle choices. He encouraged people to reduce excessive consumption of edible oil and avoid unnecessary expenditure on gold, stressing the importance of financial awareness and health-conscious living.
Officials stated that the visit was aimed at improving coordination between public representatives and healthcare institutions to ensure better delivery of medical services.
Hospital authorities highlighted several requirements related to infrastructure and operational support, expressing hope that the issues raised during the visit would receive timely attention.
The programme concluded with assurances of continued support toward strengthening healthcare services and improving facilities for patients in Jammu.
