APRIL 27: In a proactive move to uplift the standard of education, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ghagwal, K.S. Bali, conducted surprise inspections at several educational institutions across the subdivision. The objective of the visit was to evaluate the quality of education, inspect campus infrastructure, and address any immediate concerns affecting students and staff.
The SDM visited Government Girls High School Ghagwal, Government Degree College Ghagwal, and Government High School Jatwal. During these inspections, he engaged directly with students and teachers to better understand the challenges they face and to assess the effectiveness of current teaching practices.
At Government Girls High School Ghagwal, SDM Bali highlighted serious issues concerning the poor state of sanitation facilities. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure immediate repairs and cleanliness, emphasizing the importance of a hygienic learning environment.
Moving on to Government Degree College Ghagwal, the SDM expressed concern over a noticeable trend of student absenteeism. He instructed the Principal to investigate the reasons behind it and implement strict corrective measures to improve attendance and engagement.
During his visit to Government High School Jatwal, SDM Bali closely observed the teaching activities inside classrooms and assessed the quality of mid-day meals being provided to students. He interacted with the students, encouraging them to stay committed to their academic pursuits and dream big for a better future.
“Quality education is non-negotiable,” asserted SDM Bali, underlining the administration’s commitment to improving the educational system. He issued strict directions to all headmasters to maintain discipline, ensure regular attendance, and uphold the standard of mid-day meals. Furthermore, he announced that revenue officers would now conduct periodic inspections to monitor punctuality, sanitation, and meal quality across all schools within the subdivision.
The inspection was conducted in the presence of Tehsildar Ghagwal, Shakeel Ahmad, and Naib Tehsildar, Jagdev Singh, who assisted in identifying issues and taking notes for follow-up action.
These surprise inspections are part of a broader strategy to create a more accountable and quality-driven educational environment in Ghagwal.
