Jan 29: JAMMU: As part of the ongoing pre-Budget exercise, the Chief Minister today held detailed consultations with Hon’ble Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from District Jammu and District Samba to gather inputs and suggestions for the upcoming Budget.

The deliberations focused on identifying region-specific priorities, pressing development needs, and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of the people. MLAs highlighted issues related to infrastructure development, public services, employment generation, education, healthcare, and rural development, reflecting the aspirations of their respective constituencies.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the pre-Budget consultations are a crucial platform to ensure that the Budget is inclusive, balanced, and responsive to ground realities. He noted that engaging directly with elected representatives helps the government align policy planning with public expectations and regional requirements.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to people-centric governance and equitable development across all regions of Jammu & Kashmir. He assured the MLAs that their suggestions and concerns would be carefully examined and appropriately incorporated while finalising the Budget proposals.
