NOV 13: As part of the No Tobacco Campaign 3.0, Government Degree College (GDC) Marh organized a poster-making and awareness program to inspire creativity and spread awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use. The event was held under the guidance of College Principal, Prof. Ramneek Kour, and aimed at promoting a healthier, tobacco-free lifestyle among students and the community.

The program was conducted under the aegis of the Prahari Club – Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, with Prof. Malti Rajput serving as the convener. The initiative encouraged students to channel their creativity and raise awareness on the theme “Say No to Tobacco, Yes to Life.”

Students participated enthusiastically, using art to convey strong social and health messages highlighting the dangers of tobacco consumption and its impact on individuals and the environment. Their artworks reflected not only artistic excellence but also a deep sense of social responsibility and awareness.

A panel of judges—Dr. Madhvi Prasher, Dr. Balwinder Saini, and Dr. Sheetal Devi—evaluated the entries based on creativity, message clarity, originality, and visual impact. The event served as a platform to engage young minds in meaningful dialogue and motivate them to adopt healthier choices.

Other faculty members present on the occasion included Prof. Sachin Kumar, Dr. Tanu Sharma, and Dr. Priyanka Gupta. The program concluded with words of appreciation for the participants and a reaffirmation of the college’s commitment to fostering awareness and social responsibility through such creative initiatives.
