NOV 11: Secretary, MeitY, Shri S. Krishnan inaugurated the “Cyber Bharat Setu: Bridging States, Securing Bharat” workshop in Agartala, Tripura, aimed at strengthening India’s cyber resilience through capacity building, innovation, and proactive defence strategies. The two-day national cybersecurity exercise, organized by the Directorate of Information Technology (Government of Tripura) in collaboration with CERT-In, MeitY, focuses on enhancing awareness, preparedness, and coordinated response to cyber threats.
The workshop was attended by Tripura Chief Secretary Shri J.K. Sinha, DGP Shri Anurag, Secretary (IT) Shri Kiran Gitte, DG CERT-In Dr. Sanjay Bahl, and other senior officials. CERT-In experts led interactive sessions and simulation-based exercises for government officials, police officers, IT professionals, and students, emphasizing hands-on learning and collaboration to strengthen cyber readiness.
During the event, Shri S. Krishnan also launched the Tripura Cyber Security Policy 2025 (TCSP 2.0), a forward-looking framework designed to secure the state’s IT and ICT systems. The policy promotes institutional strengthening, capacity building, and cross-sector collaboration to ensure a resilient and citizen-centric cyber ecosystem.
Building on the success of the National Cyber Security Awareness Month 2024, the Tripura Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025 (TCSAM 2025) campaign was launched with the theme “Cyber Jagrit Tripura”. A new mascot, “Raksha Mitra,” was unveiled to promote cyber hygiene and awareness across the state through month-long outreach and training programmes.
The Cyber Bharat Setu initiative reflects MeitY’s vision of a Cyber Resilient Bharat, bridging regional capabilities, promoting innovation, and fostering coordinated defence strategies to safeguard India’s digital infrastructure and national security.
