DARPG’s Cyber Security Workshop Focuses on E-Office, Bhavishya, and CPGRAMS Safety

OCT 09: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) organized a comprehensive Cybersecurity workshop on October 8th at the Civil Services Officers’ Institute (CSOI), New Delhi, under the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0. The initiative aimed to enhance cybersecurity awareness, promote the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) initiatives, and strengthen digital resilience in public governance.

The workshop was aligned with the Cyber Swachhta Kendra established by CERT-In, MeitY, and featured discussions on the current cybersecurity landscape in India, including practices for e-Office, Bhavishya Portal, and CPGRAMS.

Shri Puneet Yadav, Additional Secretary, DARPG, set the context, followed by Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, who highlighted the importance of responsible data use and safe cyber practices to build trust in digital systems. Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General, CERT-In, elaborated on cyber resilience, emphasizing preparedness, recovery, and evolution in response to cyber threats.

Other key speakers included Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary, DARPG, who stressed efficient e-Office use, secure account management, and digital signing of files. Shri S.S. Sharma, CERT-In, and Ms. Anjali Dhingra, NIC, discussed cyber hygiene and application security measures, including encryption and authentication. Shri Anil Bansal, DoPPW, highlighted the Bhavishya Portal, ensuring transparent pension processing, while Shri Sanjeev Saxena, NIC, addressed security in CPGRAMS for citizen grievance redressal.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Puneet Yadav, marking a significant step toward enhancing cyber security awareness and resilience across Central Ministries.
