DIPR J&K Conducts 2-Day Wellness Workshop to Promote Workplace Well-being

The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Jammu and Kashmir, today commenced a two-day Wellness Workshop aimed at promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being among its officers and officials. The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to building a healthier, more resilient, and productive workforce.

Day One of the workshop featured an insightful and interactive lecture on “The Science of Body–Breath–Mind and Breath Modulation.” The session was conducted by renowned Dietician and Yoga Wellness Expert, Dr. Mitali Gupta, who shared scientific and practical insights into the role of mindful breathing in maintaining overall health.

During the session, Dr. Gupta explained how controlled breathing techniques positively influence the body and mind, helping individuals achieve mental clarity, emotional balance, and reduced stress levels. She emphasised that simple breath modulation practices, when incorporated into daily routines, can significantly enhance focus, energy levels, and workplace efficiency.

The expert highlighted the growing relevance of wellness practices in modern professional environments, where stress and sedentary lifestyles often affect performance and well-being. Participants were encouraged to adopt mindful breathing as a tool for managing work-related stress and improving physical health.

Officers and officials of DIPR actively participated in the session, making the interaction engaging and meaningful. The workshop aims to equip employees with practical wellness strategies that can be seamlessly integrated into their daily professional and personal lives.

The two-day initiative is part of DIPR J&K’s broader efforts to foster a supportive and health-conscious work culture, recognising that employee well-being plays a vital role in organisational effectiveness and public service delivery.

The workshop will continue with additional sessions focusing on holistic wellness, reinforcing the importance of balance between physical health, mental resilience, and professional responsibilities.
