SEP 22:Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary today conducted an extensive day-long tour of Dansal and Nagrota blocks to assess flood-related damages and listen to public grievances in the region.
During the visit, the Deputy CM inspected the condition of damaged infrastructure and interacted with locals across various Panchayats, including Badsoo, Kattal Battal, and Sandhi. As part of his outreach, he held grievance redressal camps, allowing citizens to voice their concerns directly to the administration.
He directed concerned officers to address public issues on a priority basis, ensuring a prompt response to genuine demands. Among the key concerns raised were damaged roads, broken bridges, and the need for financial assistance to families impacted by recent floods.
Surinder Choudhary assured locals that the government is committed to extending immediate relief and repair measures in affected areas. He emphasized that timely repair of essential infrastructure is crucial for restoring normalcy and connectivity in these rural and far-flung regions.
He reiterated the government’s vision, under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to bring development to the doorsteps of rural communities. The Deputy CM stressed that inclusive growth is a top priority, and the administration is focused on delivering basic services, improving infrastructure, and providing swift disaster response across all districts.
The visit was also part of a broader effort to strengthen governance at the grassroots level by directly engaging with people and ensuring government schemes reach every corner of the Union Territory.
The Deputy Chief Minister’s tour was welcomed by residents, who appreciated the government’s proactive efforts and responsiveness. The assurance of immediate attention to both infrastructure repair and humanitarian support was received positively by the local population.
