NOV 09: The third Expenditure Register Accounts Reconciliation Inspection for the Bye-Election to the 77-Nagrota Assembly Constituency was conducted today by Expenditure Observer Ashish Yadav, along with Assistant Expenditure Observer Dr. Nippun Gupta and the Election Expenditure Monitoring Team.

The inspection was held at the PWD Guest House, Gandhi Nagar, in accordance with the notice dated October 24, 2025, issued by the Returning Officer, 77-Nagrota Assembly Constituency, for verification of expenditure registers.

During the session, the expenditure registers of contesting candidates were thoroughly reviewed and reconciled. The candidates and their authorised election agents were briefed on the prescribed norms and guidelines related to election expenditure, as laid down by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

They were specifically advised to avoid cash transactions and ensure that all financial dealings are made exclusively through the designated Election Expenditure Bank Account, strictly adhering to the prescribed expenditure ceiling. Further directions were issued in line with the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

The candidates and their agents were also instructed to complete their records and submit the registers to the designated authorities as per ECI guidelines.

All ten contesting candidates attended the meeting and appreciated the cordial and transparent conduct of the inspection under the supervision of the Expenditure Observer, acknowledging the team’s efforts in providing proper guidance in line with the ECI’s norms.
