SEP 09: In a continued effort to support communities impacted by the recent natural calamities, a mega health camp was organized today at Rajeev Colony, Jammu, for flood-affected families. The initiative aimed to provide immediate medical care and support services to those affected by the heavy rains and flash floods that recently disrupted life across various parts of the Union Territory.
During the visit to the health camp, officials interacted closely with families, listening to their concerns and assessing their immediate needs. Medical teams were on-site to provide free consultations, distribute essential medicines, and offer health counseling. Special attention was given to vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with chronic health conditions.
Addressing the gathering, representatives of the administration reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Government of India and the Jammu & Kashmir administration toward the welfare of all citizens affected by the floods. It was emphasized that comprehensive relief measures are underway and that both immediate and long-term support will continue to be extended.
The camp also served as a platform to raise awareness about sanitation, waterborne diseases, and mental health support, especially crucial in the aftermath of such natural disasters. Residents expressed their appreciation for the swift response and presence of healthcare services at their doorstep.
