AUG 12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today delivered a powerful and emotional message underscoring his deep devotion to the national flag and the motherland. Speaking at a public event ahead of Independence Day celebrations, the LG said, “Tiranga is my Dharma. Tiranga is my strength. Tiranga is my heartbeat.”

He further invoked a profound patriotic sentiment with the lines, “कर्म हेतु इस धर्म भूमि पर लें फिर फिर हम जन्म सहर्ष — For the sake of duty, may we again and again take birth on this holy land. भारत माता की जय!” His words reflected both personal conviction and a collective aspiration for every citizen to uphold the dignity and honour of the nation.

The LG emphasised that the Tiranga is not just a piece of cloth, but the embodiment of India’s unity, sovereignty, and centuries-old civilisational values. He said it inspires citizens to rise above personal interests and work tirelessly for the progress, security, and harmony of the country.

In his address, LG Sinha called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the youth, to participate wholeheartedly in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and to embrace the values of courage, sacrifice, and service that the national flag represents. He added that true patriotism lies not only in celebrating national festivals but also in working consistently to strengthen the nation through honesty, innovation, and mutual respect.

The LG’s address comes as preparations intensify across Jammu and Kashmir for Independence Day, with government buildings, streets, and homes being adorned in the colours of the national flag. He urged citizens to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and security forces, and to pledge to contribute to the country’s growth and unity.
