OCT 21: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, is leading a high-level Knowledge Exchange Mission to the Philippines from October 20–22, 2025. The visit, facilitated by the World Bank, underscores India’s growing collaboration with partner nations in the Global South to strengthen skill ecosystems and promote sustainable human capital development.
The Indian delegation includes senior officials from the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and representatives from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana. The mission aims to foster dialogue, share innovations, and identify actionable strategies for advancing skills, entrepreneurship, and labour mobility.
As part of the visit, the delegation will hold strategic discussions with leading Philippine institutions such as the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
These engagements focus on knowledge exchange in skills development, data-driven policymaking, and migrant welfare frameworks, enabling both countries to learn from each other’s models of workforce empowerment.
Minister Jayant Chaudhary highlighted that the mission reflects India’s vision to build global partnerships that enhance employment opportunities, promote entrepreneurship, and drive inclusive economic growth.
The initiative further reinforces India’s commitment to shaping the future of the Global South through collaboration, innovation, and the shared goal of creating equitable and sustainable development pathways.
