Jan 15: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Tuesday flagged off the Jammu and Kashmir Tableau contingent for the Republic Day Parade–2026 from Jammu, marking a proud moment for the Union Territory. The tableau will represent J&K at the prestigious national parade to be held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, where it will highlight the region’s rich cultural heritage and artistic legacy.
The J&K tableau has been designed to reflect the diverse traditions, handicrafts, and vibrant folk culture of the Union Territory. Through visually striking elements, it aims to present the essence of Jammu and Kashmir’s centuries-old cultural identity to a national and global audience. Traditional art forms, colourful costumes, and symbolic motifs will form the core of the presentation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary congratulated the artists, designers, and officials involved in the preparation of the tableau. He noted that participation in the Republic Day Parade provides a unique opportunity to showcase Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural richness and creative talent on one of the country’s most prominent platforms.
