The Young Leaders’ Dialogue 2026 will focus on critical themes such as inclusive growth, innovation, leadership, social responsibility and youth-led solutions to contemporary challenges.
The youth contingent from Jammu and Kashmir has been selected through a transparent and merit-based process, comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds who reflect the aspirations, creativity and resilience of the region. Their participation offers them an opportunity to engage with policymakers, thought leaders and fellow youth from different states and Union Territories, fostering exchange of ideas and strengthening national integration.
Officials highlighted that sustained investments in education, sports, skill development and entrepreneurship in Jammu and Kashmir have enabled young people to access national platforms and compete at the highest level. Participation in events like the National Youth Festival not only builds leadership capacity but also instils a sense of civic responsibility and democratic values among the youth.
The festival programme includes interactive sessions, panel discussions, cultural showcases and leadership workshops designed to encourage dialogue and collaboration. For participants from J&K, the exposure is expected to broaden perspectives, enhance confidence and inspire them to take active roles in community development and public life upon their return.
Members of the youth contingent expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity, describing it as a platform to voice regional perspectives while learning from diverse experiences across the country. Many noted that such initiatives motivate young people to align their aspirations with national goals and contribute positively to society.
The Lieutenant Governor reiterated the administration’s commitment to nurturing youth potential and providing platforms that empower young citizens to emerge as leaders and change-makers. He called upon the participants to act as ambassadors of peace, harmony and progress, carrying forward the spirit of unity and inclusiveness.
