The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Jal Shakti (PHE) Jammu, Technical Advisor JJM, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, Water Quality Monitoring Teams, and representatives from the Accounts Section.

During the review, the Mission Director held detailed discussions on key aspects of JJM execution including the creation of Rural Piped Water Supply Schemes (Out Village/In Village), expenditure reconciliation in the IMIS system (90:10 ratio), inclusion of new villages from Swachh Bharat Mission, and addition of “villages without PWS” to the scheme’s coverage.

A district-wise review of progress was conducted, with directions issued to Superintending Engineers to monitor ground progress on a fortnightly basis and ensure adherence to deadlines, quality, and transparency norms.

The Mission Director underscored the importance of updating physical and financial progress in the Integrated Information Management System (IMIS), uploading KML files on the PM Gati Shakti portal, and geo-tagging assets created under JJM. He also reviewed the functioning of Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIAs) and the Har Ghar Jal certification process.

Further, he directed officers to strengthen coordination with Deputy Commissioners, who chair the District Water and Sanitation Missions, to facilitate seamless implementation of the scheme. Shah assured that all financial matters have been taken up with the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti, which has extended full support for timely execution and monitoring of the mission across the Union Territory.

The Mission Director reaffirmed JJM’s commitment to achieving 100% Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) coverage across all villages of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring safe, sustainable, and quality drinking water for every household.
