JUNE 01: A delegation of residents from the remote Hill Kaka area, led by local representative Abdul Aziz, held a meeting with Minister Javed Rana to discuss a range of developmental concerns affecting their region. The villagers raised pressing issues, including the urgent need for improved road connectivity, stalled infrastructure projects, and challenges in accessing basic services.
During the discussion, the delegation emphasized that Hill Kaka has long suffered from administrative neglect, particularly in terms of road development and public utility access. Many of the ongoing projects in the area have seen significant delays, causing hardship to the local population, especially during the harsh weather months. Roads, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions were among the top priorities highlighted.
Abdul Aziz, speaking on behalf of the delegation, appealed for immediate government intervention to expedite these long-pending projects. He pointed out that the lack of proper road connectivity isolates the region, making it difficult for residents to access essential services such as healthcare, education, and markets. The delay in development has also hindered economic opportunities, especially for farmers and small traders.
In response, Minister Javed Rana assured the villagers that their grievances have been noted with seriousness and urgency. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the people of Hill Kaka and affirmed that the administration is committed to ensuring that development reaches even the most remote corners of the region. Rana promised to personally follow up with the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of pending projects and better coordination in future development initiatives.
The Minister also instructed officials to conduct a comprehensive survey to reassess the region’s infrastructure needs and identify priority areas for immediate action. He emphasized that equitable development is a cornerstone of the administration’s policy and reiterated the government’s dedication to addressing rural and backward areas.
The visit and dialogue were received positively by the villagers, who expressed hope that their longstanding issues would finally be addressed. As the government intensifies its focus on inclusive development, meetings like this reflect a growing responsiveness to grassroots concerns.
The Hill Kaka delegation thanked the Minister for his time and commitment and expressed optimism that visible improvements will soon follow on the ground.
