SEP 03: MOIL Limited, India’s leading manganese ore producer, has once again set a new benchmark by registering its highest-ever August production this year. The company produced 1.45 lakh tonnes of manganese ore in August 2025, marking an impressive 17% year-on-year growth over the corresponding period last year.
The strong momentum was equally visible on the sales front. MOIL achieved sales of 1.13 lakh tonnes during the same month, which represents a remarkable 25.6% year-on-year increase. This robust growth reflects both improved operational efficiency and strong demand for manganese ore in the steel and allied sectors.
Looking at the broader picture, MOIL’s performance during the first five months of FY 2025–26 has been exceptional. From April to August 2025, the company achieved 7.92 lakh tonnes of production, which is its best-ever for this period, showing a 9.3% growth year-on-year. In addition, the company carried out 50,621 meters of exploratory drilling, registering an 8.6% growth year-on-year, thereby reaffirming its commitment to expanding reserves and strengthening its long-term resource base.
Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of MOIL, congratulated the entire MOIL team for this record-setting performance. He appreciated their relentless efforts in maintaining high production and sales momentum despite the challenging monsoon conditions that often impact mining operations. Saxena emphasized that these achievements not only strengthen MOIL’s position in the manganese sector but also align with the government’s vision of increasing self-reliance in critical minerals.
The record-breaking results underscore MOIL’s focus on operational excellence, efficient resource management, and strategic growth. With continued investments in exploration, technology, and capacity building, the company is poised to maintain its upward trajectory in the coming month.
