Over 500 Digital Life Certificates Generated at SBI Mega Pensioners’ Camp in Delhi

NOV 03: Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (PP), inaugurated the Mega Pensioners’ Camp organized by the State Bank of India (SBI) at the NDMC Convention Hall, Delhi, under the Nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Singh highlighted the Government’s focus on digital empowerment of pensioners, emphasizing that digital submission of Life Certificates has significantly enhanced their Ease of Living, especially benefiting aged and infirm pensioners.

The Nationwide DLC Campaign 4.0, led by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) in collaboration with key partners including banks, India Post Payments Bank, UIDAI, EPFO, DoT, Railways, CGDA, and MeitY, is being held from 1st to 30th November 2025 to reach pensioners even in the remotest corners of the country.

During the Mega Camp, Dr. Singh personally conducted Face Authentication for Digital Life Certificate generation, demonstrating the ease and speed of the process. Over 500 DLCs were generated during the event. The Face Authentication technique, which allows pensioners to submit their Life Certificates ‘Anytime, Anywhere’ using smartphones, was hailed as a game changer in pension management.

Pensioners attending the camp expressed immense satisfaction with the new digital facilities, noting the convenience of completing the process without visiting banks or pension offices.

Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary (P&PW), also interacted with pensioners and felicitated senior citizens who have made significant contributions to society, reaffirming the government’s commitment to technology-driven, citizen-centric governance.
