JUNE 18: Probationary officers from the Indian Corporate Law Service, Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service, and Central Labour Service met the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 18, 2025.

During her address, the President congratulated the probationers on joining distinguished civil services. She praised their dedication and perseverance, noting that their entry into public service marks both a personal achievement and a national responsibility. She reminded them that their roles carry the potential to positively influence millions of lives, and they must act with integrity, compassion, and a sense of accountability.

Speaking to the Indian Corporate Law Service probationers, President Murmu emphasized the corporate sector’s vital role in driving economic growth. She highlighted that their work will be crucial in shaping a business environment that is transparent, efficient, and conducive to innovation. As enforcers of corporate law, they have a unique opportunity to strengthen corporate governance and support entrepreneurship in the country.

To the officers of the Central Labour Service, the President underscored the importance of balancing compliance with empathy. She explained that their dual responsibility—ensuring implementation of labour laws and acting as mediators in industrial relations—positions them as key enablers of both social justice and economic productivity. Their efforts, she said, can foster a fair, respectful, and harmonious working environment.

Addressing the Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service probationers, the President stressed that quality assurance in military aviation goes beyond technical standards. It plays a crucial role in operational safety and national defence readiness. She said that their mission would include ensuring that all defence aviation products, whether indigenous or imported, meet the highest global quality standards.

She also highlighted the importance of integrating the private sector into the defence manufacturing ecosystem through policy support and technology sharing. This, she said, would boost indigenization and establish India as a major global player in defence production.

The President concluded by encouraging all probationers to pursue excellence in their fields, remain rooted in ethical values, and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress through transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric governance.
