Satish Sharma Inspects and Inaugurates Key Development Projects in Khour Block

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 16:
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, ARI and Trainings, Satish Sharma, carried out a detailed visit to several development sites in Khour Block. The visit focused on reviewing ongoing works, removing bottlenecks, and ensuring timely completion of key infrastructure projects.

Datyal–Gujrail Road Project Inaugurated

Satish Sharma inaugurated the 2.00 km Datyal–Gujrail road project, a crucial link expected to significantly improve rural mobility.
While speaking with engineers and field staff, he stressed strict adherence to quality standards and timelines.
He added that better connectivity will directly help residents access markets, schools, and essential services.

Inspection of Important Link Roads

The Minister also reviewed progress on several link roads. These include:

  • Link road to Tibbi Mohalla from Akhnoor–Pallanwala Road

  • Link road with pacca drain from Sita Ram Temple in Panchayat Mattoo

At these locations, he examined foundation work, drainage construction, and the overall pace of execution.
He instructed the concerned agencies to resolve delays immediately.
According to him, these link roads will greatly reduce travel time for locals and must be completed with high-quality workmanship.

Macadamization of Badhan–Gair Road

Satish Sharma later inaugurated the macadamization work on the Badhan–Gair link road, including allied stretches in Panchayat Manchak.
He noted that this road is vital for daily commuters and transporters.
The Minister urged engineering teams to speed up the work, even when weather conditions pose challenges, and ensure durable, long-lasting results.

Review of Youth Services & Sports Infrastructure

The Minister also inspected development activities under the Youth Services and Sports Department.
At Government High School Datyal, Zone Khour, he reviewed the construction of a new volleyball court.
He emphasized that improved sports infrastructure encourages youth participation and supports community development.

Government’s Commitment to Quality and Transparency

During interactions with local residents, Satish Sharma reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to rapid, transparent, and quality-driven development.
He directed officials to maintain regular field monitoring, ensure proper use of funds, and keep local representatives fully informed about project progress.

He issued a clear warning that delays and negligence will not be tolerated, and any lapse in execution will lead to accountability measures.

The Minister concluded his visit by highlighting the Government’s goal of building strong rural infrastructure that improves connectivity and enhances everyday convenience for citizens.
