NOV 13: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has successfully concluded the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0, held from 2nd to 31st October 2025, achieving 100% success in record management and cleanliness activities. The campaign was launched on 2nd October by Shri Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, with the administration of the Swachhata Pledge and a cleanliness drive at Transport Bhawan.

During the campaign, MoRTH and its affiliated agencies reviewed 18,616 physical and e-files and undertook cleanliness drives at over 15,000 sites nationwide, including offices, construction camps, National Highway stretches, toll plazas, flyovers, bus stops, and roadside amenities. The Ministry also achieved 99% disposal of public grievances (1,147 cases) and public grievance appeals (522), along with 92% disposal of pending MP references and 10 out of 13 pending PMO references.

Efforts under the campaign also freed up 220 sq. ft. of office space and disposed of over 640 kg of scrap. An innovative initiative, “Report a Dirty NH Toilet and Get Rewarded,” was introduced to encourage public participation in maintaining hygiene along highways.

Progress was closely monitored by the Secretary, MoRTH, with weekly reviews and field inspections. Senior officials of MoRTH, NHAI, and NHIDCL actively participated. The campaign received wide publicity through social media platforms like X, Instagram, and Facebook.
