Training Strengthens Evidence-Based Ayurveda Practice

SEP 27: The Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), New Delhi, in collaboration with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), organized a two-day training programme on Asthi Marma at AIIA, New Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Vaidya Shri Devendra Triguna, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee and President of RAV’s Governing Body, in the presence of Dr. Mahesh Vyas, Dean of AIIA.

In his address, Vaidya Shri Triguna emphasized the relevance of Ayurveda in modern healthcare and the importance of advancing traditional knowledge to address contemporary health challenges. He highlighted the opportunities available to Ayurveda practitioners and underlined the value of specialized training programmes in enhancing clinical skills.

The sessions were conducted by eminent experts, including Dr. C. Suresh Kumar and Dr. N.V. Sreevaths, both CRAV Gurus, Dr. P. Hemantha Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor of NIA Jaipur, and Dr. Anandaram Sharma, Professor and Head of Panchakarma, AIIA.

On the first day, participants explored the principles and practices of Asthi Marma, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical clinical applications. The programme combined lectures, demonstrations, and interactive discussions, providing a strong foundation for skill development in this specialized area of Ayurveda.

Over the two days, participants gained advanced insights aimed at enhancing evidence-based practice and holistic patient care. The training is expected to strengthen the role of Ayurveda in modern healthcare, equipping practitioners with the tools to apply Asthi Marma techniques effectively in clinical settings.

Through initiatives like this, RAV and AIIA continue to promote capacity-building, research, and skill development in traditional healthcare systems, contributing to the broader integration of Ayurveda in contemporary medical practice.
