OCT 05: Rajasthan’s first ‘Namo Biodiversity Park’ was inaugurated today at Pratap Bandh, Alwar, with a symbolic tree plantation ceremony. The event was presided over by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav, in the presence of Shri Sanjay Sharma, Cabinet Minister of the Government of Rajasthan.
In a social media post on X, Shri Yadav described the newly developed park, also named ‘NAMO VAN’, as a vital green lung for the region. The park is expected to significantly improve local greenery, enhance air quality, and promote environmental awareness among visitors.
Beyond its ecological benefits, the park is designed to encourage citizens to adopt sustainable and environment-friendly lifestyles, making it a significant step toward fostering public participation in conservation efforts. The initiative highlights the importance of integrating green spaces into urban and semi-urban areas to address environmental challenges.
The inauguration of Namo Biodiversity Park represents a milestone in Rajasthan’s green infrastructure development and reflects India’s broader commitment to biodiversity conservation and climate action. Through such initiatives, authorities aim to strengthen environmental consciousness while creating spaces that combine ecological, recreational, and educational value for the community.
