VP Radhakrishnan: Technology, Trust & Trade Will Shape India’s Global Rise

NOV 14: Vice-President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the 30th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, addressing more than 2,500 participants, including global business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts. He emphasized that India is experiencing unprecedented economic and industrial growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, making this an ideal moment for international investors to deepen their engagement with the country.

Highlighting one of the government’s most significant accomplishments, the Vice-President credited the upliftment of crores of citizens from poverty to the sustained and inclusive economic activity encouraged by policy reforms. He noted that India has evolved into the world’s fourth-largest economy and remains the fastest-growing major economy due to transformative reforms in labour laws, taxation, infrastructure, and digitalization.

Shri Radhakrishnan also underscored India’s emergence as the third-largest startup ecosystem and its growing leadership in clean technology exports, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to sustainable development.

Commending the Government of Andhra Pradesh, led by Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, he praised the state’s progressive approach to innovation, infrastructure expansion, and ease of doing business. He stated that these efforts have established Andhra Pradesh as a national benchmark for industrial advancement.

Expressing strong optimism about the state’s economic prospects, the Vice-President said Visakhapatnam is well-positioned to become a premier investment destination and that Andhra Pradesh is poised to emerge as a hub for quantum technology and green hydrogen.

The two-day summit, organized by CII in partnership with DPIIT and the Andhra Pradesh Government, is hosting 45 sessions, 72 global speakers, and delegates from 45 countries under the theme Technology, Trust and Trade: Navigating the New Geoeconomic Order.
