Army, CRPF, J&K Police Celebrate Success in Operation Mahadev, Neutralize 3 Terrorists

JULY 31: In a significant breakthrough, Operation Mahadev conducted by the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully eliminated three Pakistani terrorists involved in the deadly Pahalgam terror attack. The briefing was led by Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, and Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, General Officer Commanding of the 15 Corps.

The Pahalgam terror attack, which had shaken the region earlier, was meticulously planned by the infiltrators who crossed over from Pakistan. Their operations led to the death of several civilians and security personnel, heightening security concerns in the sensitive Kashmir Valley. Operation Mahadev was initiated to trace and neutralize the terrorists responsible for the attack.

Speaking after the operation’s success, Lt Gen Sharma expressed pride in the coordinated efforts of the Army, CRPF, and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
