JUNE 14: As part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage season, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, along with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, Bhim Sen Tuti, conducted a thorough inspection of Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar. Their visit was aimed at reviewing the facilities and arrangements being made to ensure the comfort, safety, and convenience of the pilgrims.
During the inspection, both officials took stock of the various infrastructure and logistical arrangements that are currently underway. They emphasized the importance of timely completion of all pending works to avoid any inconvenience to the devotees. With the influx of pilgrims expected to begin soon, the administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that all facilities are operational and meet the required standards of safety and hygiene.
Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar directed all concerned departments to complete the ongoing works by June 20. This includes setting up essential services such as water supply, sanitation, power backup, medical facilities, and accommodation arrangements. Special attention is being given to crowd management, security measures, and emergency response systems to handle any unforeseen situations during the pilgrimage.
IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti reviewed the security arrangements and emphasized the need for foolproof measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims. He stressed coordination among various law enforcement agencies and the deployment of adequate personnel to maintain order and assist pilgrims throughout their journey.
An important aspect of the preparations is the establishment of a fully functional Control Room at Yatri Niwas. This facility will serve as the central command center to monitor various aspects of the pilgrimage, coordinate different departments, and respond promptly to any issues that may arise.
The administration is committed to providing a smooth, safe, and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims. Regular inspections and reviews are being carried out to monitor progress and address any gaps well in advance. With the June 20 deadline firmly in place, officials are working in a mission-mode approach to ensure everything is ready on time.
These proactive measures reflect the administration’s dedication to efficient planning, coordination, and execution, which are crucial for managing large-scale religious events like the annual pilgrimage.
