OCT 23: Nagaland Minister Shri Temjen Imna Along called on Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, extending warm Diwali greetings and discussing development initiatives for the State. The meeting focused on advancing science, technology, innovation, and administrative reforms in Nagaland.
Dr. Singh reaffirmed the Government of India’s commitment, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to accelerating North-Eastern development through innovative solutions, youth-centric initiatives, and promotion of the startup ecosystem. He highlighted efforts to ensure that all North-Eastern states benefit from new-age technologies and digital governance models.
Shri Temjen Imna Along expressed appreciation for Dr. Singh’s guidance and support in implementing central projects in Nagaland. He assured the State’s full cooperation in executing initiatives from the Ministry of Science & Technology and related departments to foster innovation, skill development, and entrepreneurship among youth.
The Nagaland Minister also recalled Dr. Singh’s tenure as DoNER Minister for the North-East, noting that people continue to remember his contributions fondly.
The leaders discussed strengthening Centre-State collaboration to promote inclusive, technology-driven growth in Nagaland and across the North-Eastern region. Both reaffirmed a shared vision of leveraging scientific and technological solutions to accelerate regional development, empower youth, and foster sustainable progress.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with mutual commitment to innovation-led initiatives that aim to transform Nagaland into a model of science-driven development in the North-East.
